Forms and textures found in nature are a constant source of inspiration. The ongoing cycle of new growth, and decay evoke a mysterious and strange beauty. My jewelry is a fusion of these elements. Bringing to you distinct jewelry that is both organic and sculptural.

Wendy Thurlow is an award winning art jeweler who studied her craft in Philadelphia, at University of the Arts. In 1999 she received a BFA in Metals. She continued her education with intense internships and week-long jewelry workshops.
Wendy has been producing her own one-of-kind and limited edition jewelry for over 15 years. She incorporates techniques such as: forging, acid etching, and various surface embellishments to give her jewelry texture and depth. Wendy's jewelry is organic and sculptural. Her primary focus has been the use of mixed metals with semiprecious stones, fossils and found objects. Her eye for composition, attraction to form and design, enable her to create jewelry of distinct style.
Wendy exhibits her work Nationally, has many private collectors internationally and has been an exhibitor at local art festivals.
In addition to her studio work, Wendy is passionate about teaching the art of metal and instructs various levels of jewelry making classes.

Hammered by Wendy offers a unique alternative for couples that want to symbolize their commitment to one another with a ring that is non- traditional.
Each wedding band is individually crafted, custom per order. I use sterling silver and high karat gold or rose gold combined with fusing and acid etching techniques. Each piece is made with subtle variations therefore truly unique and one- of a kind.

Custom pieces, in particular rings will be made based on the measurements you have given me. I strongly recommend you have a local jeweler professionally size your finger if you are unsure of your ring size.
If you have given me the wrong sizing information upon completing your order, I am unable to make further adjustments to the ring without incurring additioanl costs.

Strengthen the development of your creativity while enjoying jewelry making. It’s recommended that students have developed their own sense of creativity and independence in the advanced class. Instructor’s approval is needed to register for this class.
